IRONHIDE CREATIONS

Echoes of the Forge: A Soldier's Path to Healing through Metalwork

I am a retired Veteran of 21 years, 6 months, and 15 days (not that I was counting) of our Armed Forces. Specifically Army.

I became really interested in metal work when I was a farrier in between service enlistments. While working with horses I fell in love with hitting hot steel.  Not only making horseshoes but in the downtime I made artistic practical things just to see if I could do it.  Once I retired, and not able to find a job, I decided to get dedicated to Blacksmithing again.

Blacksmithing to me has become very therapeutic being as I, for some reason was diagnosed with PTSD and severe anxiety. (I wonder if 7 deployments, and 3 different conflicts could have had something to do with it..)

Now that I have been banging around on hot steel for several years I’ve gotten pretty good at it.

Why IRONHIDE CREATIONS

Beyond Steel

Ironhide Creations is well known for working with almost any type of metal. But did you know we can also do non-metals like wood and leather?

Safety Products

Railings, Gratings, Gates-- you name it, we can do it! You can count on Ironhide Creations to build perfect products to keep your people safe on the job.

Materials

I use a wide range of materials to make things. Iron, Steel (both mild and high carbon), Wood, Leather. Basically if it was done by materials in the old days then that is what I use.

Fabrication

Ironhide Creations blends traditional blacksmithing with fabrication techniques, crafting durable and artistic metalworks that fuse ancient skill with contemporary innovation.

My Inspiration

Inspiration I get is from just about everything! It could be a leaf or feather. A picture to a video. A book to a video game.

Everything is an original. That means, even if it’s a replica of something I’ve seen, it will not be EXACT. There will be differences in the object.
